
Her studio is located in a Grade II listed building in Salisbury with a home-style space for the shop itself, her studio is upstairs alongside a jeweller and two painters and there are plans to exhibit work in the unusual stairwells. It’s not only Ruth’s garments that are stocked in the shop; you’ll also find products from a selection of independent makers and designers – all handpicked by Ruth.
But this is not retail outlet and don’t expect it will be cheap. Ruth is clear: “You want to be sure that the product you buy is special and your money will be well-spent. “ That’s not to say you won’t find affordable items in her collection – the toggle necklace will set you back £32.00 but is made with lambs wool by hand and has a pretty cable detail and finished with ethically sourced and forged horn and wood hoops.
